huh. I should ask Chip how long it took him to get to work. (The streets weren't bad when he left, so in theory the buses should have been running fine. But somehow I suspect that theory doesn't work out too well in practice.)
I think the horses might have failed to cope with the water soluable driving skills being exhibited all around them. (Even what I saw from my window this morning failed to inspire confidence.)
No, though it might not be a bad idea. Biking home was still pretty reasonable, though, apart from the dreadful traffic. I'm glad I didn't take the bus; the 80 might have been fine but I saw a disabled 88 on the way in and watched a 91 bus hit a telephone pole on my way home.
In case you're worried, the collision seems to have been worse for the pole than for the bus, and it appeared that everyone on the bus was OK.
