Real yeast-raised, fried, honey-glazed donuts without the waxy taste of Dunkin Donuts or the overwhelming sweetness of Krispy Kreme. Lighter than a KK but not as fresh or quick to melt in your mouth. Decent coffee. Good dunkers too, crunchy enough to be pleasant soaked in coffee without being too crumbly.

Date: 2003-01-22 07:17 pm (UTC)TB and Boardman have a list of good donut shops in Greater Boston. They started with a magazine article and sampled the donuts at each. I've been meaning to ask them for the list, and this reminds me.
