calling a restaurant to get their hours, I got a busy signal. Remember those? I almost didn't. Instead, I wondered how come their phone rang Euro style, until that didn't match any more and I finally recognized it for what it was.

Of course I remember busy signals. I still encounter them. In fact, I still create them. I very much dislike "call waiting".
