Around 8:30, after having been closed up for a while, I headed out for a burrito and encountered a group of seven hardy 13-to-14-year-old trick-or-treaters; they went so far as to ring our doorbell after hitting the next door neighbors who were one of two houses still open on the block. They're not included in the statistics. Sorry, kids, but it's not just that we were out. Halloween was over.

The main reason I post these is so that I can come back to it the next year and figure out how much candy to buy and what time I need to be home. So all the historical information is in the calendar view of my LJ, back to the start of this journal in 2002 (plus a little bit of 2001 info in the 2002 entry).

This year was definitely a record, but I knew by the time the 50th kid arrived that it would be, and cut back from 3 or 4 pieces to 2 or 3 so as not to run out.
