Having finished [livejournal.com profile] miss_chance's and my Federal taxes, I moved on with great anticipation to our Massachusetts taxes. There's a form called the Circuit Breaker Tax Credit, see, and we'd replaced some crufty old fuse boxes with nice, safe breaker boxes -- but no, it has nothing to do with circuit breakers at all. Instead, it's a way for senior citizens to get some of their property taxes refunded. I wonder how many eligible taxpayers don't bother to collect on this credit because they don't have circuit breakers in their homes?

well, I do have circuit breakers, but ignored the Circuit Breaker Tax Credit 'cuz it seemed like it was unlikely to pay off the time spent looking into it, so I'm glad to have that confirmed.
