some practical ramifications of the second law of thermodynamics

Cleanliness is an unstable equilibrium. The cleaner you make something, the easier it is to keep it clean. But the effort never reaches zero; let it go, and things get messy at an accelerating pace.

I like the lower effort of keeping my life organized. But I don't like having to keep it up. While I have some organization going in my physical possessions I'll take advantage of it to bring organization to other aspects of my life. But eventually, like last time, cleanliness will all go out the window. Here's hoping it doesn't take too much with it.
