Arisia has now run thirteen cons of more than 2000 attendees.
NESFA and MCFI between them have run nine.

We're still not ready to run a Worldcon. But I'm not worried about the comparison to Boskone 24. We're growing slowly enough to take the problems one at a time instead of all at once. And we've pretty much solved all the problems we've seen so far -- including some that were probably there but which NESFA didn't even perceive back in 1987.

I still don't think we're sufficiently good at interacting with people who aren't "us", but we may be getting to the point where we don't *need* to.

I think we are bad at communicating with those outside our culture, as I read the feedback. We still have some places that need help, too. Food, though much, much better than last year, still needs tweaking, or perhaps rethinking.

I'd add that often we are bad at communicating with each other as well.
Also, is having the Arisia people run a Worldcon a goal?
If so, why?
I get the feeling there is an undercurrent of "to prove that we're a real con to the old guard/SMOFS/etc" to most of the answers I've heard. I could be wrong though.
