found this list of 50 interesting Wikipedia articles over on bipolypagangeek. I've had more than one of those articles pointed out to me by various of my LJ readers... which of course begs the meme: how many of those articles had you already read (or, perhaps, known all of the contents of) before following my link? It looks like one of the articles has been merged into a less interesting one in the meantime; maybe the original author meant this for number 9.

I don't think I've read any of these wiki articles.
Some of the subjects I know a fair bit about, others I at least recognize, still others elicit a "huh?"

I think I've run across the Sokal Affair article, but I was already familiar with the topic. Never seen the other pages, though a few of the topics are familiar (e.g. Mojave Phone Booth, Scoville Scale, Faberge Eggs).
