Congrats also to ceo who got it first, and the other folks who correctly answered, including deguspice who pointed out that this is a monument to a movie about the railroad, not really a monument to the railroad itself, and that this railroad wasn't really transcontinental until the construction (after a different line was all the way linked up) of a bridge near the site linked here.
