[livejournal.com profile] aroraborealis cleaned out some bookshelves and I took the resulting four grocery bags of books to Lorem Ipsum, who wanted most of them and gave me some store credit -- which I promptly spent on a first edition Henry Miller, an interesting bit of urban planning theory by someone who's in a position to know, and (most topically) an entire book on the history of Daylight Savings Time. Explaining Indiana takes 21 pages. You might already have thought that one was complicated; it's vastly worse when you consider that for nearly four decades each county chose the effective dates of Daylight Savings individually and the schemes they used changed yearly.
