After a little over a week I can officially say that Vanu kicks ass. Clue 1 was showing up for my first day, the 31st, in an Aloha shirt and being asked repeatedly how I had known that Fridays were Hawaiian Shirt days. Clue 2 was the custom-printed numbered engineering notebooks. But the meat has been discovering little details that confirm that these guys think about how they -- we -- do things. I've been learning a lot (huzzah), and it has not taken me long to get up enough speed to have the kind of kickass day I remember having from my first couple of years at Permabit.
