circuit breakers

miss_chance's and my Federal taxes, I moved on with great anticipation to our Massachusetts taxes. There's a form called the Circuit Breaker Tax Credit, see, and we'd replaced some crufty old fuse boxes with nice, safe breaker boxes -- but no, it has nothing to do with circuit breakers at all. Instead, it's a way for senior citizens to get some of their property taxes refunded. I wonder how many eligible taxpayers don't bother to collect on this credit because they don't have circuit breakers in their homes?
