Just based on "it's a big airplane at the Johnson Space Center," I'm going to go with one of the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft 747s, probably N905NA since that's the one that retired to Houston.
It is in fact N905NA. You can tell them apart most easily by the number of windows on the upper deck, but also this airplane is already partly disassembled for the move to the museum.
