Anyone want an abacus or some hotel key-cards? ISTR someone on my flist telling me there was a collector's market for the cards -- most of mine are boring but I have one from Hotel Avante and a few other pretty ones. Pictures here.
Ooo, the abacus sounds lovely. I've got a bunch of slide-rules tucked away in a closet here. Math department of a high school I used to work out was going to throw them out when we were cleaning a closet there one day, so I offered to take them off their hands instead. :)
I'll happily take the key-cards, as there are a surprising number of different encodings used with them and I find the technology interesting. I wouldn't trade more for them than a 70's vintage Delaware Turnpike map (that I was going to give you anyway), though, so if they're worth real money to somebody you should totally go do that.
