now that's cool

As we move forward technologically, our old detritus eventually reaches a point where there's no point to keeping it around -- the new incompatible thing can emulate it better than the original ever could. CP/M reached this state a while ago; now there are emulators for most of the old video consoles, and even the newest PalmOS machines are emulators underneath. But sometimes the beauty of the original is worth keeping around. As in this case, for example.

The real thing goes for $500 on eBay, so it saves money, too!

Today I saw a controller that has in it 25 of the old Intellivision games; I'd seen the Atari 2600 joystick that played 10 of those games a while ago.

Some of the games were 2-player only (like Baseball), so I dunno how it handles those.
